Garbage Disposal Question
I've installed new ones, unjambed stuck ones with the allen wrench or top turning wrench and clicked the reset button underneath. But I don't know what makes them tick inside.
I go check on a tenant's non-working disposal the other day. Reset button needed setting, done that dozens of times. Same tenant today calls and asks if it was fixed as it's not working again. Go check that there isn't anything down in it, spin it from underneath with the allen wrench and hit the switch. It hums. But the reset button is not down, it's like flush with the bottom. Tried clicking it with my finger & the allen wrench - tapped on the disposal body, but nothing. I can see it's bottom, it doesn't look broke off. Anyone know a fix for this without taking the whole thing down? |
