Frost on shelf of Kenmore bottom freezer

How can I prevent frost from accumulating on items on the shelf next to the ice maker in my Kenmore refrigerator/freezer? This is the only place frost is a problem. The basket portion of the freezer and the refrigerator seem to be working fine.

No can do. EVERY fridge will have a colder spot....
Just know where it is....and put stuff that may possibly *freeze* and you are okay with over there.....
And yes, I'm clear you are talking about the fridge side of the fridge and not the freezer

there is absolutely no reason to have frost build up in your freezer, anywhere. I would suspect you have an air leak some where. Check your door gasket to make sure it is sealing good all the way around

Some other things might be; if i/m not hooked up and not set to off. if refrig is an LG-795 prefix [no model/serial #-so don't know what you have] there's some bulletins for this condition. if so you'd have to contact Sears as LG won't give any info on Kenmore's.
