Fridge help

I am in need of some help. Over the weekend our frigidaire model number 241543933 side by side fridge/ freezer stopped staying cold. The fridge side is still cool but not normal, and the freezer side is the same temp as the fridge side now. I have checked the coils and they are clean. Also, the fan between the compressor and the coils is working. The compressor is warm to the touch but not too hot. Finally, I can't hear a fan when I open the freezer door and the fridge used to make some knocking noises that have now stopped. Any help on this would be great. Thanks!

Fridge help

remove the rear panel covering the evaporator coil in the freezer section and check your fan motor, if its not running then it is probably bad.

Fridge help

Could that be the problem with the temp on both sides being off? Is it a expensive fix? Thanks!

Fridge help

Is possible. Also is relatively inexpensive to replace. The evaporator fan should be running whenever the compressor is running. If the coils are all frosted up and iced, then thaw them out and make sure the drain tube is clear. Frosting up could be the fault of a defective defrost heater, defrost thermostat, or defrost timer/control. If the fan is running and the coils are not frosted, it's time for a service tech.

Fridge help

I have a evaporator fan on the way. From the videos I watched, I checked all the other things and they work fine. Hopefully it's the fan!
