Freezer is not freezing

Hi,
We have GE Profile side by side fridge. It's at least 13 yo. We are getting all new appliances so we moved this fridge to the patio. Now the freezer is not as cold as it should be. Things are still semi frozen, for example when I press the boneless chicken there is a little give bit it's still mostly frozen. It has been five days since we moved the fridge. Could we have jostled something when we moved it? We've never had a problem with this fridge until now.

The refrigerator compressor run time is controlled by the thermostat which is controlled by the temperature in the right side of the unit. If the ambient temp. is colder (not sure where you are located) than normal the compresor will not cycle on nearly as much. For example: If your refrigerator thermostat is set for 38F and the outside temp is between 32F and 37 then the temp inside the cooling (not freezer) side will never reach the cut on point of 38F and the freezer will heat up.
Try adjusting the freezer temp knob to the coldest point. If that doesn't work you will have to turn down the thermostat. Note: the temp knob for the freezer meerly opens or closes a damper.

You should have it rested overnight before turning it on. That's what I know of refrigerators that has been transferred from place to place.

like others said if it's cold on your patio etc.. but, if you 'jostled' something it was probably the fan in back. check to see if blade is jammed. should run when comp is running.
