electric stove trouble

oven working great but having problems heating with stove elements. Could this be the breaker? How to check the breaker?

Is this a new stove or replacement?

How big of a breaker is it on?

What brand and model stove is it?

If the oven is working, there is nothing wrong with the breaker. Both the oven and the cook top get their power from the same breaker.

What kind of problems are you having with the elements?

Better check on the connection wire or something underneath the electric stove. It may somehow be broken or disconnected.

Very likely a burned out element. Smooth top or conventional? On our last conventional, "we" replaced several over 20 + years, although after I did the first one, she did the rest herself. Our smooth top is a bit more work, but still manageable, although I have heard that some of the smooth tops are best left for the professionals to deal with.

Elements break down with use. Eventually, they heat very unevenly and even smell bad. If you're burning stuff or cooking slowly, replace them. Splurge on the ones with more turns, if possible. They are expensive but the performance will be better and for a longer time.

No sure of the stove you have but typically you can raise the top half of the back and you will see fuses..20amps and 30 amps Check the 20 amps and replace
