Clothes dryer in garage must be vented to exterior, currently is not. Appliance is located closer to front side, near main entrance. I believe venting exhaust must be no closer than 10' from openings. Routing to rear of garage involves about 19' linear ft of rigid piping. I am not sure dryers' blower are designed to handle larger distances... any thoughts? Is it going to require additional mechanical venting?
pd: I have seen such design on someone else home but not sure is ideal. Thanks in advance.
Gary posted this link http://www.appliance411.com/faq/dryer-vent-length.shtml in a thread yeaterday about water in a dryer vent. Base on the info there, I don't think your length of venting will be an issue. If your garage is unheated, you may have a condensation issue in that length of run.
