Dryer Vent

We have a metal pipe downstairs that runs up against the wall. It gets very hot. My concern is the dry wall that it's up against. Can this pipe cause a fire?

Dryer Vent

Are u sure it's a dryer vent? It kind of sounds like exhaust for a furnace.

Dryer Vent

I don't think you'll have a drywall prob. but, if it is the dryer vent getting too hot it may be clogged. does the top of dryer get hot, clothes taking longer to dry??
