dryer timer wiring harness in plastic sleeve

I'm trying to install a new dryer timer. Some of the wire were easy to reach and remove from the old timer, but the wiring along the sides of the timer are enclosed in a plastic sleeve which I cannot figure out how to remove. Does anybody know how to release the plastic casing or get to the wires underneath? I don't see a release of any kind. Thanks.

not sure exactly what your doing but if each wire does not come off individually then it is a quick connect wiring harness. Push in a small tab to release it and all the wires are disconnected at once.
