Dryer sounds like a jet engine!

I just replaced the motor and timer in my Whirlpool dryer. It seems to work now, but is incredibly loud. Doesn't sound squeaky or bumpy, just like a loud jet engine. I'm concerned that the motor's running too fast, or that I've installed something wrong. It sounded fine before. Any idea what I could have done wrong?

I would make sure that the belt is run properly around the tensioner. There are also felt gaskets that seal the drum and front panel. If one of these came out it will make all kinds of strange noises. The seal looks like a belt made of lint.
