Dryer drum turning but no heat


we had the heating element and the 2 thermostats tested--and they're good. I reset the breaker too. what else can be the problem??

Whirlpool model LER5620KQ1

Repair Clinic

I had this happen twice. Once it was just a faulty leg on the 240VAC. I reset the switch and away it went. The other was a bad fuse.

thx--we tested the thermal fuse and it's reading. the only other thing we haven't tested is the timer motor. Taking that in today. I'm stumped. The breaker isn't a "double breaker" with 2 switches, its one larger than normal size breaker with one switch--I reset it (I don't know the technical term for the bigger breaker--sorry!). Still nothing.

fixing to run out and buy a new one!!

welp changed out the breaker and tested the timer--everything running as normal--except still no heat.

stumped!

Have you measured the voltage to be sure you are getting 240 volts inside the dryer? There are a variety of places you need to test, including around the timer motor where a number of connections are.

Stop wasting time re-adjusting the pattern. Have several lawn sprinklers, one for each pattern.
