Does this sound right????

So, my year old Frigidaire Fridge has shot craps, the repair guy says the compressor is shot. Now Frigidaire customer service says they are still waiting for the service report from the repairman, the repairman says he sent in the report a week ago, but they send it to a different department and that department must than send it to customer service and this process could take weeks. Furthermore he says Frigidaire is notoriously slow when it comes to warranty work and we should expect to wait a month for a new fridge.
Does all this sound correct? I don't see what the repairman would gain from lying. At the same time I cannot believe Frigidaire would take 2 weeks to even show they had received something.

Thanks for any info,

Ben

Buy a new refrigerator, with whatever bells and whistles you want.

i'm mad as hell for you!

You know I really wish I were a computer Geek.
I would try to raise a site for Americans to stand up for their rights
on these appliance companies moving to Mexcio.and China.
we can't repair them. I'm told the new ones are more energy effecient yes but they only last five to ten years so where is the savings in the long run.
My old tv is 28 years old. a freezer in the garage is 30 years old I'm just a grumpy old man, seeing throw away stuff.people cant save because they have to replace expensive appliances. Your going no where america.
Don't blame it on the unions 80% of them only make a fair wage $15.00 per hour.

Thank you for being mad for me. I am a little upset myself. We ended up buying a fridge off of craigslist. We plan on putting in garage or basement once/if our main fridge is replaced.

Have you ever heard "the squeeky wheel gets the grease" Its true. I would call them every day and talk to the highest ranking employee you can untill your problem has been fixed. To get you to stop calling them they will put you on the top of the list to fix your fridge. Rick
