Dishwasher not completely filling

Folks have a 7 year old Frigidaire Dishwasher model # FDB126RBS2. It is having trouble filling the tub. Water still flows in but not even 1/4 of the amount that is supposed to and then continues on it's cycle like nothing is wrong. The sound of the water flowing sounds obstructed. I have verified that the water supply including the shutoff valve and the water line are not obstructed. Does this sound like a fill valve issue?

and you know it is not filling with the proper amount of water how? Newer dishwashers. especially the frigidaires, use a very small amount of water to wash.

It's an old model that used to fill up with I would say 10 liters and now only fills with about 0.5 liters. This is not an efficient new model.

that would still be a water efficient dishwasher, but 1/2 litre is not enough water. Replace the water valve if the inlet screen is not plugged up.

Sounds like the water valve isn't allowing enough water through as said above. you could take it out and try and clean it, but best bet is to just replace it. If there are other deposits inside the unit. Run a few cycles with a bunch of vinegar in the tub. That will help break up + clean any deposits.
