Dishwasher leaking

Ive had this one since it was new, 5 years or less. Noow it leaks foamy bubbles out of the two lower corners. The door seal looks good but it looks a litle short. Do these things shrink ? Wonder it I can cut it at the top and slide each side down. Cant imajine much water at the top getting out.

Post the brand and model of DW.

Some dishwashers (Frigidaire, for one) have a lower door seal that is defective and can be replaced with an upgraded version. Otherwise new perimeter seals can usually be bought and installed fairly easily.

Dishwasher leaking

There have been problems with Kenmore DW's getting sediment in the fill valve causing the valve to stay open allowing excessive water depth.

There are other possible causes. Look at this link: http://www.appliance-repair-it.com/d...r-leaking.html

I did find the valve to be gummed up, thought I fixed it but I guess not. I have not tried to look down the pipe yet.

The "foaming bubbles" tends to lead me to ask: Are you using "automatic dishwasher" detergent in this unit or are you using regular plain old dish washing detergent, as in the type used in a sink, in it? Just had to ask. David

I am using a store brand dishwasher soap, as in a generic Cascade.
Since I cleaned the valve the bubbles seem be be much less, the last time is was almost only water, where a couple times it seemed to be almost all bubbles.
