Dishwasher install question

We are installing a dishwasher in a kitchen that has never had one. We are making space by removing some cabinet drawers. My question is the following:

Can we use the base of the cabinet to set the dishwasher on as it is pretty good construction, or do we need to set it directly on the floor of the kitchen and saw out all the cabinet base?

The dish washer is about 34 1/4" tall---you need to go all the way to the floor--24" wide.

Most dishwasher are intended to sit on the finished floor and also anchor to the top counter.

Cut the base.
