Dishwasher drain valve opening

Hey all - hoping that someone can point me in the right direction for a DW repair.

After my dishwasher fills the tub and the motor kicks on the water pressure is forcing the drain valve/gate open and the thing will drain until the water level in the tub is way too low.

Still happens when I disconnect the power leads to the drain solenoid.

I jammed some cardboard in the drain solenoid to hold the valve shut. Worked normally.

What should I take a look at to remedy this?? This is a diagram of my machine: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/pa...model_id=44099

look at the spring on the flapper, is it still attached or did it break? if it is still attached you probably need a new plapper
