Dish washer Air gap leaks " Fix It "

I have looked for a repair of my air gap leaking water over my counter.
not a lot just enough to cause a mess.

I don't have the 100% fix it But I will relate what I did
First ran a piece of of Electrical romex wire down the return tube to the drain in the garbage disposal.
This was clear. Took my trap apart and found it clean. Next I ran my garden hose down my wall drain into the main drain to make sure I had no back up from down the line, this was clear too. Hey this is really dumb what could it be. The water go's up hits the top of the cap and returns down the drain tube.
Well I just got mad and gave the little cap on the air gap a real tight turn.

I guess this was the problem all along, because it worked. The leaking stopped.

You mean I went through all that and all I had to do was give that little cap a good turn!
I hope this helps someone try this first

Good luck
