Dirty wall oven / sweeky exhaust fan

The original owner of the house didn't take care of much so I took apart our wall oven today which was over caked in grime and dust inside. I cleaned out as much as I could but we noticed the rear fan makes a seeking noise when running - I figured because it was so dirty inside.

Will it hurt anything if I squirt some WD-40 on either end of the fan in hopes for it to quiet down some?
