We are converting the gas stove in our summer cottage (a double wide on foundation w/ a crawl space). We had an electrician come in and install the 220 electric, but now we need some advice on capping the gas line. A friend has said he knows how to cap the gas line that remains, but my Mother and I are nervous about it. Is this a big deal? Does the gas line get capped behind the stove or is the whole line removed and capped outside? We would prefer to hire it done if need be just to be sure. If we should hire it done, who does something like this? A plumber, the gas company? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance
