chest freezer front lid seal.

this freezer worked fine in last house. Lid was taken off to get thru doorway in a move to another house. Floor also slopes to back of freezer an inch or two as all old back porches do(now enclosed and insulated and heated).

Is my problem from floor slope or door hinge reinstalled too low leaving a gap in front? It leaks along front gasket,,,which is like new,,,and builds up frost till it pushes front of door open,,,then defrosts entire contents (unless something heavy is placed on front top lid at ALL TIMES. Needless to say I forget sometimes and other times some well meaning soul says that doesnt belong on there and gets moved.

How do I know for sure without loosing another load of food???Anybody need any free dog food??

loosen 4 screws on the lid hinge, push down lightly on the front of the lid and retighten the screws. Should be an easy fix.
