carrier heating ? cooling

I have a carrier system that has the following on the left and right sides of the control panel:

on heat
FAN off
auto cool
there is also a thstat along the bottom. I have being informed that this is a heating unit only. Is this true?? I think the model number is HH0IADO42C-W Can anyone help? Thanks
