Bosh Dishwasher help please

I bought this dishwasher brand new in 2011 and I noticed that the rinse agent clip inside the washer is gone. 1st time happening to me. But now I start to wash my dishes and something is clinging around in the dishwasher at times (guess this is a safety item) but it clicks to clean like it's in a bind or something. The water doesnít drain out. I keep trying to hope that whatever it is may will go down the drain (is what I was told to do by someone who works on appliances but not Bosh) but I don't know where to look for whatever is going on in there when starting it up. I've even took the filter out and don't have a clue on what to do or even find out where the clicking noise is to check. It does sometimes go through the cycle but not all the water goes out. I sure hope someone can help me because I donít want to pay someone to fix something I can fix if any way possible. Sure it wonít be cheap.
Thanks in advance for any help. This has done got annoying.
Teresa

The rinse aid clip is likely stuck in the drain impeller. Remove the filter and look for an outlet in the sump. Carefully put your finger in the outlet and see if you find the clip.

If the rinse aid clip turns out not to be the problem, here's another alternative.
I have a Bosch dishwasher (model #SHX57C) and not too long ago we heard a strange clicking sound when the dishwasher was operating. We discovered that some of the utensils that we were putting in the upper basket/shelf had a tendency to stick out the back of the basket and thus prevented the basket from properly seating with water nozzle on the back wall of the unit.

My mothers dishwasher was clicking not long ago. Took apart the plastic housing covering the impeller and drain. Found a small piece of a ceramic coffee cup which had broken off and got caught up in there. Not usually too difficult to take that area apart, just take your time and look for hidden screws if something doesn't seem to want to come apart. Also, try googling your model of machine and "ticking noise" after it and see what comes up.

I would like to thanks to all that gave me such great advice on fixing my Bosh dishwasher issue and it is fixed thanks to all the ones that helped me. The clip from the rinse aid dispenser did fall in the bottom of the drain pump under the pump cover and It did do some damaged to the pump I guess we call them the teeth in the pump. But I have order a pump and a detergent dispenser. It does work but we decided to get the parts and fixed. Draining and working properly now! THANKS TO YOU ALL THAT REPLIED!!
