Best Water Heater??

My gas AOSmith 50 gal. water heater died and must be replaced ASAP. It sat outside on a concrete pad.

I have room indoors in my laundry room to install a new water heater and am thinking I will go electric 50 gal.

I know nothing about water heaters... Should I go tankless? What brand do you recommend?

I would appreciate your help!!

I have heard the Rheem Marathon is very good.

How many people are in your household? What are the gas and electric costs in your area? Those affect the size and gas vs. electric decision.

It is for my 3000 sq ft 3 bedrm condo that's for sale, currently rented. Gas might be a little cheaper here in High Point, NC. I think I'm wise to move the new one inside, don't you?

On Demand would be the better for your climate, than using a storage tank type water heater. Anything to get an edge up on the others, especially in this market helps to sell, just remember that.
