Unhappy

appliances

My neighbor has a 10 year old GE model # gsd4030y70ww. dishwasher. the dishwasher won't drain. I have checked the screen in the bottom and there was no sediment. I still gave it three vinager and arm and hammer bathes with hot water.
I tried to blow through the drain from the disposal. This did not help , there must be a check valve stopping back flow.
I did not remove the dishwasher and take the drain appart from the bottom yet.
I thought maybe the pump (if it has one,)won't reverse itself. If it needs a new pump I think i'm going to recommend she buy a new one.
I'm not a repair man.
Can anyone give me an idea of what to do next?

If you don't hear feed back try reposting this under the heading above and add flags below the note box for ge and dishwasher.
