A recent bout of immediate intestinal requirements caused me to look into why my food was spoiling so quickly. the dial was set at the normal marking, and I wanted to see just what the normal temperature was, so I bought a cheap electronic thermometer that records the high and low temperature. I put it in the fridge and found that over night with the door closed, the temp was 48 degrees f. I did some research and saw that "room temperature" is between 45 and 140f, so I knew the culprit was my fridge not being cool enough. The dial (in my fridge anyway) controls the temp in the freezer, but since it's one system if you adjust the freezer temp up or down, the fridge temp follows. I turned the dial down and it dropped the temp down.

If your unit has a dial somewhere thats on normal, turn it down a couple notches and see what that does. Or you could take everything out and let it defrost overnight.

disclaimer: I am in no means a professional anything. someone else will come a long and may have a better explanation.
