amana ice maker stopped working

My ice maker (JW626687) stopped ejecting. it is relatively new, replaced it about a year ago. Recently the arm was falling off repeatedly so I took the ice maker out, let it dry out (including removing motor end part) then put it back in. Now it won't work at all. Water fills but ice does not eject. i have removed it and put it back several times with no difference. Any ideas or just buy a new one?
