Not quite automotive. I have a Murray lawn tractor with a 17 HP engine and a hydrostatic drive. When under load, such as pulling a dethatcher, the drive belt slips and the tractor won't move. I was wondering if it might be a belt issue or a transmission problem. Any ideas?
I know there are two belts. One for the blades and one for the drive. I was wondering if there could be a problem with the drive itself and not the belt. The belt looks fine and the tension seems correct.
