The battery in my key remote for my 2009 Subaru Outback is nearly dead.
I am unable to find any way to open the key to replace the battery. It is
the type where the buttons (and battery, of course) are in the key, not
in a separate container as in earlier cars. Or is this one of those things
that requires a special tool at the dealer's? Anyone have any experience
with this? Thanks for any suggestions you can give me.
Well, for starters, if there is no tiny screw holding case together, it is likely simple "pop the cover" case. A utility knife blade inserted between the halves and little pressure.. I am yet to see a key fob or case that required a special tool.
Also, go Subbies forum, plenty of those, guys will indulge you.
Or simple Googling... http://www.ehow.com/how_7363399_repl...forrester.html
