moisture in my front turn signals?

i had recently noticed some moisture in one of my front turn signals. i didnt think anything of it untill a couple months later it stopped working. when i went to replace it, i noticed the whole socket was corroded and i had to break the light and rip the bottom to pieces with pliers just to get it out of the socket. once i got it out i noticed a type of "glass" had formed inside the bulb connector. the corrosion was so bad that even after i got the bulb out, the fitting would not fit back into the headlamp because corrosion had widened the fitting. i am having this problem on a GMC denali 2000, and was wondering waht i should do to fix it?

Replace the light and socket, there was most likely a crack in the fixture that was not allowing it to seal water tight

You could clean up the socket, but I agree with Mech, you really should replace the socket

I had a mustang do the same thing, I drilled a small (1/8) hole in the very bottom to let the moister out.
