Headlight Switch for 2000 Ford Taurus

The headlight switch for my 2000 Ford Taurus fell off. We had been sticking it on to turn the lights on and off, but it fell off again and disappeared. The parts store charges $95 for a little plastic thing. Even if I get it, it will be very loose. How do I fix this and do so economically?
