damnation! Winter is coming

My 98 Windstar is blowing AC out of the back and front heat vents. When I turn the back vents off I get intermittent heat from the front but rarely. Then, my front fan control either is off or maximum...in between settings don't work at all.

Am I going to freeze to death??

Check your coolant level. Your fan control is probably the blower resistor. High speed bypasses the resistor
