88' F150 heater core

My 88 ford F150 has taken to leaving puddles of coolant on the passenger side floorboard. I assume this means I need a new heater core.

Does anyone know how big a job this is? Its a 6 cyl, w/AC. I am more than happy to tackle it if it isn't too involved, but if it means removing the dash, dropping the column etc., I may just leave it to my mechanic.

Any input would be appreciated.

There are some smart guys over at www.F150Forum.com that may be able to help you out. Just an FYI.

There is good info on how to get heat back in F-150 without paying a fortune or pulling the dash. Details are listed at www.rcsefi.org/F-150_Heater.html
