2004 stratus help needed

im working on a 2004 dodge stratus and trying to figure out a squeeking (rubber) sound comming from the left (drivers) side of the rack. the boot seems fine clamps are on so the boot isnt slipping on the shaft. whats inside the boot that can be making the noise

Agreed. Knock off the outer tierod ind and move the tierod up and down by hand to try to duplicate the squeak.

There isn't anything in the strut besides the strut itself that can make noise when going up and down. If you get a squeak when turning it could be the strut bearing.
