1997 Ford Taurus GL Tranny

tranny is slipping only when I come to a complete stop. Doesnt do it all the time, its like I put the car in netural and then slams in to gear. Now I can sense when it happens so I shift to another gear to start off again. Are there bands that can be adjusted? or some magical lube to dump in the tranny to get more life out of it?

Check the fluid level
Low fluid could cause this

Busted sprag, internal breakage. (one way)Sprag cannot hold the forward drum while the low clutches are engaged.
