Tool Lanyards

Ok I've just started doing a heap of installs for a local blind company. Most of the work is at heights and I've managed to drop my drill twice, :censored:!! Luckily the old girl has survived and more importantly no one was hurt. Does anyone use a lanyard on tools? Just wondering what experiences you may have had and any recommendations. FYI the drill fell out of a holster because I didn't clip it in, but I find I'm now often up ladders holding 14 different items and trying to do it in the safest manner possible!
Cheers
Brendan

I saw a tool caddy that slides on to the side of a folding ladder-----look like it would be useful---

It was at my plumbing supply house---sorry I didn't see a price or the name----

Thanks guys but I'm after peoples experiences using tools lanyards that hook onto you belt, not ladder bags. I use several ladders at a job, so I'm up and down different ones, hence I need to take my gear with me. I wear a tool belt which carries everything, I just want to know how people have found using lanyards as drop prevention.
