Zinsser Perma-White EXTERIOR PAINT

Has anyone had any experience painting the EXTERIOR of their house with Zinsser Perma-White Mildew Proof Paint? How has it held up long term?

The company gives a 15 year warranty on this exterior paint and says it will hold up against mildew for five years, but has anyone had any actual experience putting this paint on the exterior of their home?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Well, I've never used many of their products, but those that I have used work well.

Their Bullseye 123 is one of the stickiest primers you can get.

And, I've used their Perma-White Bathroom paint in my bathrooms for years and it's stood up very well.

YES indeed, you can paint your ENTIRE house with mildew proof paint if you want to and Zinsser makes what is likely the best paint available for this purpose.

I have heard that in some places (like the humid Southeastern US) people have used this paint to cover large areas of their houses. I just have not read a review from anyone who has actually USED this paint. Anyone have actual experience with this exterior paint??

Living in the southeast I have never seen or used this paint. Did you read the tint able part, only off whites, pastels, and medium earth tones.

Every paint manufacturer has paint with mildewcides in it or they have the additives you can add to the paint to make it more mildew resistant. In my experience, mildew is going to grow on your paint film no matter what's inside the paint can........more importantly, you have to take care of the surface issues that cause the mildew to form to have a fighting chance against it. For example, overhanging tree limbs that block the sun on a side of your home which keeps the siding wet most of the day is a great place for mildew to start.

Dear Friends,
I have done a LOT of research on mildew resistant paint and mold and mildew problems and I actually do not need more info on that.

I am just trying to get a review on this paint which is said to be the best exterior mildew PROOF (not resistant) paint available from someone who has actually applied it to an exterior structure. Has anybody out there actually used it? Thanks in advance.
