Your Recommended Brands of Exterior Paint

Disregard "& Outdoor Stains".

Please recommend overall high quality brands of exterior paint for homeowner use on wood and wood like surfaces.

You would do better to search this site for past threads on this topic. A list will not put the products choices in context. And if you want absolutely all possibilities from self-etching paint for flashing to plastic paint for exposed plumbing with deck, siding, etc finishes in the middle posts are going to get very, very long.

Why not tell us what you are trying to accomplish with this thread?

Thank you for your advice regarding searching past posts.

It was never my intent to the ask for the best brands for use on every conceivable building material or associated products.

Accomplish with this thread you ask? ........Nothing more than seeking to learn from those who depend upon high qualify finish products. Simple innocent naive homeowner curiosity. No hidden agenda.

Per you reply, with such detail necessary to intelligently pose my original question I am most definitely am out of my league. Therefore I have edited my original question to better express its intent.

If you or anyone else still considers my edited inquiry lacking sense or substance then this thread should be considered closed for cause.

Given the fact that an excellent older thread regarding best exterior paint now appears my thread is closed.

Wasn't questioning your thread beyond it was so broad and open ended. Before you edited, you sounded more like a market research scout looking for our help on the cheap than a DIYer---to be honest.

If the thread you found does not work or fit your situation, come back and tell us your concerns, what you are trying to paint, what you can afford to spend, etc. We will help.

There is a lot of great information hiding on this site behind the search engine banners though. I always try to search first if only to define questions better.
