yellowed white gloss paint

I painted a vjay wall about 6-8 months ago with a white gloss paint. It is in a bathroom. After if had dried for a good week or more, my wife bought a stained timber cabinet and placed it along this wall. I have just removed this cabinet and found the wall behind where the cabinet was to be a light yellow colour. Does anyone know why this would have happened? or how to fix this problem? All advice would be appreciated.
Cheers
Ralph

Stain may have outgassed some color into uncured latex paint. It takes 30 days!

Thanks for the information
When you say it takes 30 days, does that mean original curing or it will take 30 days for the yellow to go away?

People forget that while latex paints with glossier sheens (aka eggshell and especially semi-gloss) dry to the touch quickly it takes 30 days for the surface to cure. I am afraid the yellow you describe, may not come out if somehow pigment from the cabinet got into the curing paint.

You never mentioned whether you painted with latex or oil?
