wrong paint

Hired a painter that put satin finish paint on the door frames and obviously it is not real wood and the paint can be rubbed off. Another painter said that I should just wash it off and that is very time consumming. Is there a product I can use to remove it.

If the "painter" did not know it was wood and use the correct primer, then you need to find an actual painter and not some hack charging you $10 an hour.
