Wood Overhang Exterior

Hi, my name is Kim

Which one is the longest lasting?
Should I remove the old stain, or should I clean-up thoroughly, and paint or stain over?

Thank You,

Not much info to go on.......but, I assume you are restaining your overhangs? I would gently pressure wash them, allow to dry for several days, and then apply 2 coats of stain. Is it semi-transparent? Is it solid color stain? If it's solid, I really like Sherwin Williams Woodscapes. I have used it for years and if you prep properly and apply 2 coats you could easily get 8-10 years out of the stain on overhangs.
