why use paint brushes instead of foam brushes?

Keep it in the sheath immediately after washing. Spin as much water out of the brush as you can, then comb it, then hang it (or store it laying flat). never have the weight resting on the bristles.

Damn that box must be worth a pretty penny!! Gonna have to grab me one of those combs to keep my purdy clean!

I just did my final satin red coat on my front door earlier today, even with the purdy I'm still getting kinda substantial brush marks, must be a skill level thing

You gotta use an extender, like XIM or Floetrol. Even with that it still will never looked "sprayed".

Yeah I totally *meant* to learn about these paint extenders, ended up not using them, and kinda regret it... I've installed the knobs/deadbolt today, prolly put the hinges on and install tomorrow. I'm gonna hold onto the old POS door though, because if every time I enter my house all I see is brush strokes, I'm gonna need to take it back down and sand the hell out of it, get the extender, and recoat again!
