Who makes the every best Exterior Stain

I have 3 projects that needs to be done with exterior stain and would like to use the very best high quality exterior stain on each project.

(1) Staining the wooden rails and pillars on my pouch? The rails are pressure treated lumber. The pillars were stained with oil base stain so could you stain them with latex stain? The pillars were stained about 6 years ago. The rails are new this March.

(2) The pouch floor on my shed, I used Cabot primer and stain on it about 8 years ago. I am looking for the very best stain or paint to finish it with. They tell me that Rock Solid is the best for this job. It has Marine Plywood for the Floor.
The stain has pretty much all came off.
What would be the best way to clean the floor before finishing it?

(3) I am finishing a glider and putting new Ash Boards on it and would like some advice on what would be the best way to finish the board? Using stain or paint? An which is the very best for exterior use?

It's hard to say what the 'best' ext stain is since what product will perform best varies from one situation to the next.

For your wood projects (deck rails and glider) you might look at Sikkens products. There high build stains are extremely tough and will hold up well if applied and maintained right.

I can't really say what's the best stain, as I have not tried them all, but I have used a few different brands over the years and now days we use Sikkens and sherwin williams stains in general depending on the circumstances and what the stain is being applied to. It is important to know that stain is only as good as the prep work and the maitenance down the road. A lot of people stain decks and/or homes and never maintain the stain and then when the stain fails they claim that it's the stains fault. Exterior stain breaks down from the elements, especially uv rays.

I would suggest either one of the Sikkens or Floods products. Both very high quality. Ron
