Where glossy and flat meet

I'm getting ready to repaint my bathroom and, a couple of feet above the shower, there is some wood trim with glossy paint next to the flat painted wall. Apparently, some of the glossy paint is on the wall next to and along the trim. When the wall was repainted, the flat paint went over the little bit of glossy paint. What has happened is this has created a hairline crack running along most of the length of the trim. I'm not sure of the best way to deal with this crack before I repaint the wall.

At first, I thought there was caulk along the edge but there is not.

I agree with Hamilton, in baths and kitchens the best paint would be eggshell, or semigloss.
As far as what to do about the crack, Slick beat me to it. Sand clean and caulk.
If you are going to repaint the bathroom i would go at least the eggshell. Plus it gives you some room to tidy up the walls if stuff gets on them.
