what type of spray gun to buy to use with air compressor

I am looking at harbor freight website to buy a spray gun to paint exterior on shed in backyard.

the paint is latex .....

I have a hausfed brand 2 hp air compressor which has 2 tanks..

Am not sure if I should buy hvlp gun or lvlp gun or what?

Please advice?

also I have lots interior paint...can I use it outside like 5 layers or more?
or I must have exterior paint?

Look on your compressor and see what the CFM and PSI specs are. You need a gun to match. :whistling2:

That big a job needs an airless sprayer not just a little hand held gun. Your going to spend way to much time thinning, filling it, cleaning.
And no you should never use interier paint on the outside.

Paint spraying requires a constent pressure and a lot of CFM.

Or no sprayer at all.

yes.

In the long run its easier, faster (no set up ,masking etc) and easier learning curve.

Hey guys if its just a shed and he doesn't say how large why not a wagner buzz sprayer. you don't have to thin the paint much and for a small job they are cheap and don't do that bad a job. And no don't use inter. paint on exter. they are formulated differently, the inter. paint has no U.V. blockers in it and it isn't made to stand the weather.

For a small shed, I would certainly grab the wagner. I think a compressor driven gun would be a certified PIA though.
