What order 4 bst results
Hope you can help. Heres my current situation. I have a newly installed hardwood floor. I have new pre-primed prehung doors waiting for pick-up. My wife NOW wants new interior paint. The last time we painted we did NOT paint the ceilings so I would like to start with repainting the ceiling first. The trim will probably be pre-primed MDF. So pros have recommended painting the trim AFTER installation and AFTER caulking top edge of molding. Can you fellas help me determine the best order of INSTALLATION AND PAINTING the following? That would sure help me alot. Thanks in advance.
A. PREP & PAINT CEILING B. INSTALL NEW INTERIOR DOORS C. PAINT PRE-HUNG INTERIOR DOORS AND JAMBS. D. INSTALL & PREP PRE-PRIMED MDF MOLDING E. PREP AND PAINT INTERIOR WALLS F. PAINT MOLDING |

Another suggestion is to prime and paint all the ceilings.
Finish coat the doors and jambs also. You can carefully open the doors while attached to the jambs so they stand up for you. Prime the walls, if you're going to prime them. Hang the doors and trim, caulk, fill. Finish coat the walls, then the trim. |

I agree with what's been said. I would also say that make sure you have your walls painted and finished before installing casing around the door. It is a pain doing all that taping.

The way i would do it is, Prime and finish ceilings, place all trim up, putty, caulk, prime the trim, finish the trim, curt in walls and roll em. Sand walls, walls again, repeat intill desired look. Then run all base and shoe mold.

Finish all carpentry including door gaps and hardware installments.
Disassemble, remove and store doors. Prime ceiling/walls. Prep, prime and finish spray all trim. Mask crown, base, chair rail/wainscot and door heads, then finish coat ceilings. Finish coat walls. Prep, prime, spray finish coat and re-hang doors.
