what to do with my short wall?

We are currently in the process of remodeling our office into a nursery. We have vaulted ceilings upstairs, but on one side the room it left a short wall. It is approx 4 ft high. With the vaulted ceilings, we are thinking we don't want to just paint the room all one color and would like to split it up. We have tossed around ideas of chair rail (just paint this wall the bottom color), paneling around the lower half of walls, or paint this wall and the two around it one color (it is not a rectangular room and there are some built in shelves that will break it up from the rest of the side walls)

So, what should I do with my short wall?

Your over thinking it just paint the same color as walls and enjoy it. Congrats on the baby.

If the surface is completely vertical- call it wall. the angles and ceiling - paint with a ceiling color.

Start by painting it the ceiling color. If you like it then you're done. Starting with the darker wall color would make for more work trying to cover it with white later. Me, I'd go with the ceiling color as a darker color on that slope might make the room look smaller than it already is.

Paint the wall the same as the rest of the wall then add some decals of Disney or mother goose creatures for accent.

That slanted wall limits the useable space. I'd think about some built in cabinets or shelves to maximize use and storage.

I would paint the short wall the same colour as all the other walls. Perhaps you can even do wainscotting on that wall and run it around the room at that level.

I would paint the angled wall a sky blue with some large clouds.
