Question

water base poly over oil base poly

I have knotty pine in my home on the walls. It has one coat of oil base clear on it, and it is still a little rough. My ? is, would it be all right if I did a light sanding and put on water base poly on it? Drying time is an issue because I have a dog in the house. Thanks

Is that why you want to switch to water based?

Yes,because of shorter drying time. Will water based poly work over oil base poly?
