Hi everyone, I'm new and have been reading your post, I didn't see one for my situation. I color washed my bathroom walls and now I would like to border it, I bought a product that says it's "paste for pre-pasted border over paint" the label also reads *no primer/size needed *no mess, should I still lightly sand the area of the walls where this will go? Directions say Wall surfaces must be clean, dry, smooth and structurally sound. (which they are) Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
I dont see a need to sand. It might be better not to. If for some reason you decide later to take the border off (and can remove it without damaging anything)....you'll still have a decent looking wall.
I would follow the directions to the T, but dont do anything extra. When you do extra things you could affect different aspects of adhesion, durability, warranty, etc.

Thanks Paintguy, I last time I put border in that room it didn't stick good on the bottom so I was reading about what to do and sanding was a suggestion. Since this paste didn't say to I didn't know if it was still necessary. I'm all for saving a step! Thanks again.
