Wagner 770 clouds of mist

Anyone have a wagner 770 paint sprayer. (Paint Crew) I have one and sprayed on Thompson's waterseal on some outside structures (fences and patio covers). All went well, however, the misting was incredible and I was enveloped in a cloud. Since the waterseal is a very thin product I understand that it doesn't flow like paint but damn this is rediculous.

Will a different size tip or diameter change the misting? Anyoner dealt with this?

Yes a bigger tip will keep the atomization to a minimum.I would call the wagner rep and ask.Myself, I have used a 2 gallon pump spray bottle for your particular usage.

Thanks Mark. I'll find one. I got this thing for multiple projects but I'm thinking that the spray bottle is the simplest solution.
