Using Exterior latex on Interior?

I have a couple of cans of white Exterior Latex that i want to use on some Interior trim. Is there any downside to doing this?

Yes--exterior paint are designed to "chalk off" . You ever notice --when you rub your hand over the siding--you have a little paint dust on your hand?

That is fine outside--the rain leaves the paint looking fresh--not so good inside.(Unless it rains inside your house)--Mike--

Worse.....depending on the paint, you can end up with long term voc outgassing. Don't do it.

I do not know if the exterior paint will chalk off without exposure to the elements, but I agree about the much longer lingering odors. Most decent exterior paints also contain mildewcides from the manufacturer, which you would not want outgassing into your home.
