Used alkyd exterior paint and then it poured rain

I'm repainting my porch railing. It's partially covered by the porch roof but not if the rain is blowing, which it was. It rained hard for a short time, about 30 minutes. I was on the second coat of oil alkyd paint. Will the paint be ruined? Drops of rain water have beaded on the surface.

Depends. I have seen alkyd turn out fine after being wet. Alkyd actually sets up pretty fast in the summer heat. Check it tomorrow and if you see "fish eyes" where the drops of rainwater were laying on the paint film, well, you may have to redo that second coat. Otherwise, if it dries nice you may be ok.
